James is a creative force, helping lead Lippincott’s digital strategy and user experience team.
He brings 15 years of web design, art direction, digital strategy and information architecture experience, with a client list spanning American Cancer Society, Condé Nast, MasterCard and eBay. James has been privileged to travel extensively around the world, but loves the beautiful mountains and streams in his home state of North Carolina.
- In your own words, what do you do at Lippincott?
I help people to see the higher purpose in their job and the opportunity to change people’s lives for the better by innovating and thinking creatively about how and what they do.
- What gets you out of bed in the morning?
I like to sing in the morning. I love getting up. I have tons of people and things to do in my life that make it a joy to get up.
- What’s your favorite place you've traveled to?
I don’t really have a favorite place, but Vanuatu taught me a great deal about the priorities in my life.
- Who has influenced you most in your career?
YouTube.
- Who is the leader you most admire?
Obama just keeps getting better everyday. He had his flaws, but he really broke through on so many levels.
- Who would you change places with for a day?
Just about anybody because it would be so insightful to see the world though another’s eyes.
